Immunizations are an excellent way to protect your child against many childhood diseases.
The American Academy of Pediatrics, American Academy of Family Physicians and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases recommend a series of immunizations to protect your children against vaccine-preventable diseases.
Immunizations are available at each of our clinics and immunization outreach sites throughout El Paso. Immunize El Paso has adopted El Paso Department of Public Health standards for immunization practices, as well as guidelines published by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), Center for Disease Control (CDC), Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).
Babies ages 0-24 months need vaccines to protect against illnesses such as hepatitis B, chickenpox, whooping cough, measles, and many more. Older children also need vaccines to help protect them from getting sick at school. Every year in the early fall, everyone 6 months of age and older need an annual influenza vaccination.
